8-Day Itinerary from Tangier to Marrakech

DAY 1: Arrival in Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen

Pick-up at Tangier airport or port by your Spanish-speaking driver/guide. We will begin our route toward Tetouan, known as “The White Dove,” where we will take a brief panoramic tour of its historic center. Continuation to Chefchaouen, the famous blue city located in the Rif Mountains. Free time to stroll through its charming medina, discovering its alleyways, squares, and most photogenic corners. Accommodation in a charming riad with breakfast included.

DAY 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, departure toward the impressive Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with the option of a guided tour. Continuation to Meknes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities, where we will visit the monumental Bab Mansour, El Hedim Square, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Afterwards, we continue to Fes. Arrival in the afternoon and accommodation in a traditional riad with breakfast.

DAY 3: Fes – Guided Tour of the Medina

Breakfast at the riad. Meeting with the official guide for a full tour of the imperial city of Fes. Tour through the ancient medina of Fes el-Bali, visiting the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Nejjarine Fountain, the Chouara Tanneries, Bab Boujloud, and traditional artisan workshops. Free time at the end of the tour. Accommodation in the same riad with breakfast.

DAY 4: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forests – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Departure to the south crossing the Middle Atlas region. Stop in Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland of Morocco,” and continuation to the cedar forests of Azrou, where we can observe Barbary macaques in their natural habitat. We will continue through Midelt and the spectacular Ziz Valley until reaching Merzouga. At sunset, we will take a camel trek through the Erg Chebbi dunes to the camp. Traditional Berber dinner and accommodation in luxury tents under the stars.

DAY 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After enjoying the sunrise in the desert and breakfast at the camp, departure to Rissani and Erfoud, with the option to visit a fossilized marble factory. Continuation to the impressive Todra Gorges, where we will have time to walk among its spectacular rock walls rising over 300 meters high. Afterwards, we will carry on along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs until reaching the Dades Valley. Dinner and hotel accommodation with breakfast.

DAY 6: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, departure to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert, with the option to visit the famous Atlas Studios. Continuation to the spectacular Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. After the visit, we will cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m), enjoying magnificent landscapes of the High Atlas, until reaching Marrakech. Accommodation in a riad with breakfast.

DAY 7: Marrakech – Full Guided Tour

Breakfast at the riad. Meeting with the official guide for a full tour of Marrakech. We will discover Jemaa el-Fna Square, the Koutoubia Mosque (exterior), the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Ben Youssef Madrasa, and the traditional souks of the medina. Free afternoon to enjoy the city, go shopping, relax in a traditional hammam, or participate in optional activities. Accommodation in the same riad with breakfast.

DAY 8: Marrakech – Airport Transfer

Breakfast at the riad. At the agreed time, private transfer to Marrakech airport for your departure flight.
